Context:
RV setup, Multiplus is connected to 30a shore power at a friend’s and charges a Lifepo4 battery, pretty much lives in ‘Charge Only’ mode. It will turn off randomly throughout the day, sometimes 10-20 times a day, sometimes 1-2. Unit clicks off (no lights) then comes back on 5-20 seconds later. I’ve checked for voltage going out of spec from AC -input when it happens because it’s an older house, maybe due to surge or heavy load in the house but it never got within 10v of the default range (90v-140v). No particular load trips the shutoff, often nothing is being used expect for a couple DC vent fans on the DC side and the wifi router on the AC side.
Assumptions: (forgive my ignorance)
The problem should be isolated between the MP unit and the grid correct? Recepticles, connections, wiring, etc… going TO the MP but not FROM the MP, otherwise the RV system should take over and trip breakers, blow fuses, etc…. All circuits have GFCI receptacles and function normally inside the RV.
I had a 30a surge protector unit with a voltage/kwh/amp readout that was plugged into the 30a plug in the garage and I figured maybe that was malfunctioning so I removed that and plugged the extension cord directly into the outlet. This seemed to help but this morning it happened a couple more times.
