Configuration issues

Folks,

I have a configuration issue with a new install.

Equipment:

Multiplus 12/300, Lynx BMS, 2 Lynx distributors, Cerbo GX, four 200 amp Victron Lithium smart batteries non NG. Not networked, MPPT 150/45 and 2 24v/12v 30a. chargers.

Issue: batteries , Lynx, and BMS were installed 9/22/25. All worked fine. Xantrex inverter charger stopped working and was replaced Sunday 9/28/25 with a Multiplus and CerboGX.

Today 10/2/25 customer sent image of the BMS showing ATC/ATD error and charger showing low battery voltage. Batteries checked out 100% via Bluetooth.

Went into VE.Bus configure to set charger to “Victron lithium on BMS”, accepted presets.

Returned VE.Bus to CerboGX. Shortly after the BMS reduced power to 9.5v while the batteries were showing 13.8. After a little while the BMS shut down output completely. I put the BMS on standby, restarted, everything came back up and the ATC/ATD error went away.

Now I went back into the Multiplus to set the 800 amp capacity and now the inverter is showing low battery voltage and the inverter is in standby pass through mode.

I’m sure the “configured for VE.Bus BMS” shouldn’t be selected or is that just for NG batteries?

The solar and 24/12 chargers are not VE. Direct connoted to each other or the GX. There are no connections on the BMS ATC/ATD outputs.

The boat is also in transit and not available physically

Is there a way of networking the solar and 24v/12v chargers via Bluetooth?

I’m not sure if this is a networking issue with the Cerbo or a configuration issue or both.

Any ideas?

“Configured for VE Bus BMS” is only chosen if you are using a VE Bus BMS. You are not using a VE Bus BMS, you are using a Lynx BMS, so this option is NOT selected.

With the Lynx BMS, the BMS should be controlling all charge devices via the Cerbo GX. The Lynx BMS is connected to Cerbo by VE Can with terminators on both devices, the Multiplus connects to Cerbo by VE Bus and MPPT by VE Direct. If the other chargers fo not have VE Direct they should connect to ATC to remote on/off switches or through a battery protect. Bluetooth network will not control chargers from a Cerbo.

I have a follow up to the above.

I checked the software version of the Multiplus, current. I’m able to connect to the Multiplus from laptop easily. Returned the network cable to the Cerbo GX, no inverter readout. Not even on the device list.
I did two restarts of the GX unit and the Multiplus showed up via Bluetooth to the laptop. I was able to access everything successfully. Within five minutes the Multiplus dropped off the reporting from the GX.

Might you have any idea of what may be causing this?
