Ive installed a Multiplus ii 12 3000 230v with a Cerbo GX and Lynx smart BMS plus udated to latest firmware (Cerbo v3.42, Lynx Smart BMS v 1.11 and Multiplus ii v552) connected with Victron RJ45 cables, but I can see the BMS is not connecting to the Multiplus.I get the flashing bulk in contra phase to the ‘Inverter on’ flashing plus a constant absorption light on the Multiplus and a #15 error from the Cerbo. Anyone any thoughts?
How did you connect the RJ45 cables?
MultiPlus is VE.Bus and Lynx BMS is VE.Can, don’t mix that up.
I connected multiplus to ve.bus ports on cerbo and ve.can from cerbo to Lynx bms
What about terminators?
Only the VE.Can should be terminated NOT the VE.Bus.
Try different cables.
What other components are in the system?
I put 1 terminator on ve.can section of cerbo and the other on Lynx BMS (tried swapping around position of terminator). Swapped rj45 cables just in case. At this stage only other components in system are distributors either side of BMS and linked in parallel to 4 Victron smart ithium batteries. Also put an on/off switch on bms.
Battery cells are also unbalanced if that has an impact
Hmm… You have to test each device one by one on its own.

Does the MultiPlus work in stand alone without a connection to the Cerbo?
(You might have to do a factory reset of the MultiPlus) -
Does the MultiPlus work with a connection to the Cerbo but without the BMS connected?

Connected the BMS.
Thanks - i’ll give that a go n the morning
OK, I disconnected Multiplus and looked to do a factory reset. Went into ve.connect and noticed the ‘ve.bus bms detected’ button was on and configure for lithium batteries greyed out. I disabled and it switched to Lithium batteries. I then went into ve.config (shortened version) and noticed that when I hit configure for victron batteries, under charging section, it enabled the ve.bus bms setting and then, Im assuming, couldnt find it (had a look online and this doesnt appear to be a lynx bms). Might be getting it wrong, but now batteries are charging, but imblanced. Thanks for help - it pushed me in the right direction.
