Charging on Low Battery with ESS

Hello Victron Community!

I have multiple Victron MultiPlus-II installations paired with Felicity 48V LiFePO4 batteries. They are running in ESS mode, set to “Optimized without Battery Life” (as I haven’t been able to get External Control to work).

All installations, except the newest one, are working fine. They are all configured identically. The main differences with the new installation are:

  • It uses a smaller MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32
  • It has only one Felicity battery connected
  • It runs on a newer firmware version

The issue I’m facing is that whenever the battery reaches 10% SOC, it starts charging up to about 20% and then stops. I’m aware that Felicity batteries can have some quirks, but all my other installations are functioning correctly under the same conditions.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or does anyone have suggestions on what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance!

Found the answer. The Problem was the “Enable battery monitor” option that automatically reenables when you configure a ESS.
