Would you mind checking my settings for Multiplus II 48/10000 in ESS mode

Hi thanks for the previous help in getting some sort of charge into the batteries. The system I am setting up is a Multiplus II 48/10000 in an AC Coupled ESS configuration. The batteries are Lifepo 4 600amps in total and the BMS is a Darren which I think is manufactured by Daly. It is part of a Docan battery system. My plan is to run my two existing solar systems on the AC out side of the multi.

I am finding it difficult to find an Electrician who will work with the Victron in AC Coupled mode so I am still waiting to have the Muliplus connected to the grid and PV.

While waiting I have run the wires etc and configured the Multiplus in ESS mode but not without some problems. Could someone check my settings for me and help me get things right prior to the Electrician doing the AC side of things.

Problems.

· When I turn the multiplus on in charge mode it beeps and the GX displays a message saying low battery which I can’t clear off the GX device. The BMS says 99% SOC with voltage 52.77v. Cell voltage is averaging 3.3v.

· Another issue is if I turned the Multi on in Inverter Mode nothing happens (it doesn’t turn on). Is this because it is waiting for a grid connection first or could the multi be faulty?

· thanks in advance for your help.

proposed setup

I have just gone with the Victron defaults for Lithium

If there is no load on the inverter it will be the ess dynamic cut off triggering the low battery warnings.

You can alter them a bit. Most manufacturers recommend almost the same value as the low cut off value for the battery as it relates to the voltage under load.

Hi thanks for the reply makes sense I never considered the load factor. Do you have any idea’s on why it won’t switch on in normal mode? For some reason I can’t cleared the battery warning on the GX which is preventing me from checking the configuration
