I have an installation with an MP2, four US5000s and 7,000 Wp of solar panels.
My question is: the MP2 5000 has a charging capacity of 70 A, and when the sun is at its strongest with a few small clouds, the charging current remains at 70 A.
What is the permissible overload for this charging current, and for how long?
My DVCC setting is set to 70 A. If I set it to 80 A, do I risk a shutdown?
The multiplus cannot exceed it’s charge limit, that is fixed and will reduce with temperature derating.
If you have DC PV then that can add additional charge, if all your PV is on a PV inverter then you will be limited by the charger limit.
The system honours the lowest of two settings, you can also not set a software limit above physical limits, it will just be ignored.
So the power of the MPPTs is added to that of the MultiPlus. I had set this limit, but apparently it serves no purpose; only the charging limit of four US5000s matters.

The DVCC limit is the combined limit, both DC PV and the inverter/charger that it is allowed to use.
It overrides the BMS parameter if it is set lower, it cannot raise a BMS CCL limit.
If you have enabled exporting of power then it is ignored.
