Cerbo GX Touch 50 not working

Hello Victron Support Team,

I am seeking assistance with a Cerbo GX mk2 and Victron Touch 50 display that is not powering on when connected.

System details:

  • Cerbo GX mk2

  • Victron GX Touch 50

  • Factory-supplied HDMI and USB cables

Issue summary:

  • The GX Touch 50 was initially tested before installation and powered on correctly once.

  • After installation in my van, the screen now only flashes briefly and then remains off.

  • I have received a replacement GX Touch 50 and the behaviour is exactly the same.

  • The Cerbo GX itself is functioning correctly and is fully accessible remotely (VRM / Remote Console).

  • Firmware is up to date.

  • HDMI and USB cables have been reseated and swapped where possible.

  • No display-related settings appear disabled in the Cerbo GX menu.

  • Power is coming from Lynx disstributor

Additional testing:

  • When the GX Touch 50 is connected to a laptop via HDMI/USB, the screen powers on.

  • This confirms the display itself is functional.

  • This suggests the issue may be related to HDMI output and/or USB 5V power from the Cerbo GX.

Based on this, I suspect a potential fault with the Cerbo GX HDMI output or USB power supply for the screen.

Could you please advise:

  1. If there are any specific Cerbo GX settings that explicitly enable/disable HDMI or USB power for the GX Touch.

  2. Expected USB output voltage/current for the GX Touch (I can measure this if required).

  3. Any known issues with Cerbo GX mk2 units exhibiting this behaviour.

  4. Recommended next steps for further diagnostics or warranty assessment.

Have you tried supplying USB power from a secondary source, for example a power bank, while HDMI remains plugged into the Cerbo?

Have you plugged anything else into the Cerbos USB ports?

Have you tried power cycling the Cerbo after connecting the display? It determines on startup if it has a display connected or not, and therefore uses a headless state (or not)
