I have an installation (2022) with a Cerbo GX connected to a Multiplus Inverter/Charger via V.E Bus, and BMV712 shunt via VE Direct. Starting about 6 months ago, on occasion the GX50 connected to the Cerbo GX will go blank/black and is unresponsive. However sometimes the GX can be partially accessed via V.R.M remote console but with limited functionality e.g missing devices and/or menu structure completely missing. The LED on the unit itself will blink orange. The unit will need to be rebooted via power fuse removal to bring the unit back online afterwards. On occasion I have also seen the following message show up on the screen…"System load high, closing the side panel to reduce CPU load. Other observations include issues recognizing the MicroSD card installed for logging. And it might be coincidental but seemed to become problematic when the new UI was installed.
Does anybody here know if there is a log kept on the Cerbo that might record why the unit is shutting down in this manner? It seems like multiple issues occurring but would like some decent data to point to what is actually happening. There is no errors or warnings being generated before, during or after the event.
