I’m having problems accessing my Cerbo GX. I don’t know the Bluetooth PUK and there isn’t one printed on the side label nor on the bottom of the Cerbo GX. I tried factory reset by inserting a USB thumb drive with this file venus-data-reset-all.tgz. Now that did do something because the Cerbo GX wrote back a .sqllite3 file to that thumb drive. The devices WiFi is off likely because I had turned it off previously so I can’t connect to it via WiFi. I’ve got the Cerbo connected to a cellular gateway and I can’t find it’s IP address. Victron Connect cannot seem to find it either. I can’t connect via Bluetooth because the PUK did not reset to six zero’s. The serial number of the device start HQ21129 and I believe it’s about 3 years old. Any idea what to try next?
Do you have a HDMI monitor/TV and a mouse/keyboard that you could connect?
That way you could check the settings and activate the WiFi.
BTW there is not much you can do over Bluetooth.
You also could ask your seller/installer/distributor for help.
With a photo of the device (with the serial number) they can reach out to Victron to get the PUK.
Thanks for the quick reply. I will reach out to my distributor but I’m going to try the 2nd reset method where it looks like you actually image the O/S. I’m assuming that I can use the latest 3.62 image. Also, once Bluetooth is enabled, can I not use my laptop with the Victron Connect software to configure the Cerbo?
I do have a small HDMI monitor I can connect. I’ll bring a keyboard / mouse / monitor to the boat today and try that method. Thanks for the help.
That is an early 2021 model.
I am not sure if the reset push button will help. Section 8.4.2 in the manual (linked below) describes how you can reset all wifi / Bluetooth / network to Factory settings using the push button.
