Cannot connect to Cerbo GX via Bluetooth

I have installed a Cerbo GX in my boat and connected to 12 V power supply and SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 via VE Direct cable.

The wifi and Bluetooth diodes light both up. The Cerbo GX shows up in the VictronConnect app on my Andriod phone, but I cannot connect via Bluetooth. The progress bar goes to 95 and the restarts a couple of times before showing a no connection message. I’ve tried to disconnect the Cerbo GX Bluetooth connection, restart my phone, re-installe the VictronConnect app and restart the Cerbo GX, but nothing helps. Am I doing something wrong or does the Cerbo GX have a malfunction?

PS: the Bluetooth connection to my SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 works fine.

Sounds like a password problem? BT connection to a Cerbo if only useful for the barest networking setup, no data or control.

Have a look at 8.2. Accessing via built-in WiFi Access Point . You can then access venus.local/gui-v1/ , remote console giving you access to your gx.

The Cerbo GX doesn’t connect over Bluetooth like the MPPT does. You’ll need to use WiFi or VRM instead, your unit’s fine.

Problem solved. Now it works. While attempting to connect via wifi the bluetooth connection suddently worked, and the setup went fine from there.
