I just upgraded my Cerbo GX to latest firmware version: 3.66
Before the upgrade the GX was sending data to VRM over wifi. I was connected and it was working over starlink, and also over android hotspot. Since the upgrade to 3.66 I get a connection error #150
I’ve tried on 3 separate networks: starlink, comcast, and hotspot. None present any sort of authentication page and all work fine… but the #150 connection error persists.
I can see the connectivity to the installation in the VRM portal and it shows ‘realtime’. I was also able to use the VRM portal to update all the firmware. Seems my connection is fine and functional; but somehow the attempt to ‘upload data’ to VRM is no longer working…??
Error#150Unexpected response text: The http/https call succeeded, but the response was incorrect. This indicates that there is a WiFi or network login page, sometimes called a “captive portal”, occasionally seen in Airports, Hotels, Marinas or RV campgrounds. There is no solution to make the GX device work with a WiFi network that requires such a login page and/or accepting of terms of use.
I read that, but I have no firewall or proxy server. No login page or terms of use to accept. This is not a public wifi network, it’s my home, starlink, and phone hotspot. All three of these networks worked fine just moments before the upgrade to version 3.66
After the upgrade they all fail with the same error.
I’ve been having the same issue on v3.66 intermittently.
Home network, Starlink, and mobile hotspot, none of which have authentication beyond the said/password.
The real-time channel will work, but no logs transferred. I’ve tried both HTTP and HTTPS, same problem. I have an SD card in it, so I’m not losing anything, but have been trying to troubleshoot some electrical items and cannot without the data.
Just ran into this with an installation which hasn’t had a real problem in months. The one thing that changed is that the Cerbo was disconnected from the Internet for a day, so began buffering updates (currently about 1000 stored records). The installation is a work in progress, so things have been rebooted, short network interruptions, etc., but not for more than a few minutes until this.
VRM realtime works, but there’s a blank area in Advanced graphs because updates aren’t being sent. MQTT Real-time channel and RPC channel both show connected. I’ve toggled “Use secure connection (HTTPS)” and after a few seconds either setting results in the same #150 error.
Running 3.70~95. Went back to release 3.67 (downloading firmware still works), which has exactly the same issue.
Edit: curiouser and curiouser. After sitting a while longer, it’s now connected and I watched stored records go to 0 (happened to catch it when just a few were left). VRM graphs filled in. But then Remote Console disappeared in VRM. A few minutes later, after a page refresh, and it reappeared and loads fine. I can only guess that the #150 error is misleading, and really indicates some sort of throttling mechanism when stored records are being sent. Or not.
