I want to connect my Pytes v5a battery to my Victron Multiplus 5000 inverter with integrated GX.
Due to the manual, I should use VEConfigure to select the Battery Type “System uses LiFePO4 with other type BMS“:
But when I open the rvsc file that I downloaded from my inverter, I see only these options:
The inverter’s integrated GX device has firmware version v3.66.
I use VEConfigure3 Version 90.04.241.
Why is the needed optio missing?
@Nobby9 What version is the firmware on the inverter? Start by ensuring it is up to date.
After your firmware update using victron connect…
Pick the lithium profile (no4. Here) and change the voltages as described by Pytes.
You can create your own battery profile for future use.
The first picture is from the ESS assistant and the 2nd one is from the charger setting.
Hi @Nobby9… as stated by @M_Lange before you are referring to 2 different areas of settings.
One is in the charger setting, one in the ESS assistant. It really depends what you want to do.. see my screenshots for more details. The ESS assistant will set the charger settings though…

Yes, that was it.
In the Pytes instructions for usage with Victron inverters, it was not visible for me that the dialog was from the ESS assistant.
When I started the ESS assistant, I found the settings.
