Bluetooth on MPPT

Hi.. sorry to hijack the post but I cannot see how to post.. I’ve just joined your community as have an issue with my phone connection to my unit which is a similar set up. I have a 100w solar panel on my campervan with an MPT controller. When I try to connect it keeps coming up with fetching data and keeps scrolling around getting to 100% and then fetching data again over and over. I can get it to connect by powering down the unit and powering up again but then after a couple of weeks the same happens again! I have checked I have the latest software and it is. Any help would be most appreciated..

Hi @Freedom262
To clarify, you can see the device in the list after the few weeks but it is slow?

Thanks for your message.. It does not show up on my phone at all until I power down the MPPT unit. As soon as I have powered it down and reinstated the power then it works fine.
Does my MPPT unit still work as it should even though it won’t link to my phone?

Yes it will.
Next time it happens though, create a service report.
The instructions are here.

Thank you. It has happened again today. It has been doing this for quite a while. I did send an email to the technical help contact on the website last year but didn’t hear anything back. I’m just looking at the unit now and there is just the yellow (absorption) light on.

Thanks,

Try connecting with a ve direct cable - usb type A for a laptop, or USB-c should work with a phone.
Bluetooth getting stuck at 20 or 80% is usually either a pairing issue, or a weak signal.
