After Venus v3.60 firmware update no longer connect to vrm portal

I am having the same issue: My Cerbo cannot connect to VRM under firmware V3.60.

I have tried upgrading to V3.60 twice now with no luck. Rebooting back to V3.55 solved the issue both times.

I can access the Venus OS web interface over wi-fi using a browser under V3.60, so it does not seem to be a wi-fi issue.

Here is the error message:

I have updated another site and that is working fine. The notable differences between the working site and this site are: This site is running the large firmware (Node-RED) and the ethernet cable is connected to a Fronius Primo, whereas the working site is running the normal firmware and the ethernet cable is unplugged.

The VRM connection may well be trying to use your ethernet connection to access the internet, which of course does not have internet being connected to the PV inverter.

This may help, but note, it is not something I have experience with.

Having a local Ethernet network while using WiFi for the internet connection is also possible. To achieve that, Manual IP configuration is required:
• Set the Ethernet gateway to 0.0.0.0
• Set the WiFi gateway to a valid address (ask your network administrator for the correct gateway address)
Important
Connection priority is based solely on network interface availability, not on whether the connection provides actual internet access. The device does not verify connectivity to the internet when selecting an interface.

There is also a thread about this in the beta testing.

Thank you very much, doing that solved the problem! (The ethernet gateway was set to the same IP as the Cerbo.)
