Stopped being able to connect to Venus Large over VRM

I have a remote installation with a cerbo, and I use VRM to monitor my node-red setup. A few days ago, the “Venus OS Large” tab stopped working, with the message “Could not connect to the GX to download the requested resource. Check your network settings or switch to a different connection and try again.”. I can still connect to remote console over VRM, and can still view node-red on the local network at the proper URL. Updating firmware to latest, resetting the GX device, router, etc didn’t change this behavior. Is something going on with VRM currently?

I have had the same error for months. It was working fine before. All other functions continue to work normally. I don’t access Node Red via LAN where Cerbo is installed, only VRM. In between, I have upgraded the Cerbo firmware and rebooted the Cerbo but no luck. I haven’t yet reinstalled Venus Large and restarted Node Red as it is not critical, I’m not even sure that would work.

Here is a screenshot of the error I get:

I have raised this with the team. Bit difficult for the community to diagnose without help.

Thanks @nickdb for the follow up. To provide more information, my Cerbo is on firmware version 3.66.

There were some known issues, can you update to 3.72 and try again please?

Still occurs for me after update to 3.72.

please post the number of your VRM site (between installation and dashboard in the URL)

Upgrading to 3.72 worked for me! However, I disabled and re-enabled Node Red. I didn’t lose any nodes. I was tempted to also press the button to reset Node Red to factory settings. But I wasn’t sure if doing so would lose me existing nodes. Ultimately, I didn’t have to press the button.

The reset button wipes and reinstalls nodered so you have to import and reload your palette.

have the same issue.

Have passed it on. Thanks both.

FYI : it works again?

Was just fiddeling.
Connected the Cerbo GX to another wifi access point (so from AP-x to AP-y), no result.
Then I connected the Cerbo GX with UPT cable, and then access to node red dit worked again.
I then removed after 10 minutes the Ethernet cable (and the GX connected to the AP), and access to node red keeps working (till now).

To give some extra info: I did not updated, for some time, firmware/software whatso ever, access to NR was not avail this morning (didn’t used it yesterday).

Anyone with this issue and not on 3.72, really needs to update.

I have a similar problem with remote console on a remote installation. It’s an Ekrano. Yesterday we updated VenusOS from 3.67 to 3.72 and it “bricked” the Ekrano. We had the flashing white cursor in the upper left corner. No amount of reboots would bring up the local GUI. So I had to walk a customer through re-imaging the Ekrano. He got it on the network and it sends data to VRM, but remote console no longer works. I have not installed Large on this system yet, but that was the ultimate goal.

I don’t mean to hijack this thread, but I’m getting the same error. Any tips?

Thanks!
