12/25 charger zero current

This charger fully charged my 460Ah Epoch LiFePO4 battery correctly exactly one time. Now, it isn’t charging. In the VictronConnect app, it shows proper voltage but zero current.

  • The battery reads 13.1V at the terminals, even when the charger is on.
  • The Epoch app says 13.1V, 33% remaining; All cells look well balanced. No unique BMS status is shown.
  • Both mosfets in the battery show as “on”. I turned off the output mosfet just to check, but nothing changed.
  • The Victron IP67 12/25 is set to Li-Ion mode, using the Bluetooth app.
  • The Victron IP67 12/25 reports 14.2V, current 0.0A
  • The wall current is 119.1 and has been verified hot/neutral/ground all correct
  • I’ve turned off all loads to the battery
  • I’ve unplugged the charger, waited for the lights to go off and bluetooth to fail, then plugged it back in

The charger enters Absorption mode and shows it is outputting 14.2 volts and 0 current. It shows no errors or status conditions. The

Essentially nothing has changed since the first time it successfully charged the battery.

Could the charger have a problem?

I would check there is a sound connection between the battery and charger.

And any fuse in the charger output (or between the charger and battery) is intact.

I checked.

  • Connection to battery is solid, and I traced the wires from charger to battery to make sure there was no abrasion or cut.
  • Fuse is intact. I replaced it just to be sure

Thanks for your ideas.

If the charger output is 14.2 and the battery is 13.1 there is a poor connection somewhere, could be in the device. Do you have a multimeter to check the voltage at all connections, or look for voltage drop. Checking connections look OK and are electrically OK are different things. Some cheap resettable breakers have a reputation for providing poor connectivity.
