Hi
I have a LIFEPO4 200 Amps 12v battery, I used to charge it by the blue smart charger for about 2 years without any issue, starting from today, whenever I plug the charger it goes into absortion in spite of the voltage of 13.15 V , the charging current is only 0.8 Amps. The charge parameters are the standard ones provided by victron for LiON battery…
Do you have any ide of what is going on ? why the charger goes into absortion with such a low voltage ? it should start with the bulk one with 15 Amps…
Please share your opinion
Thanks
Stefano
The 13.15V, is that at the battery or the output from the charger.
One reason for this sort of behaviour is a connection has come loose, a breaker or isolator or fuse is no longer making contact or you have developed a break in a wire. This creates a high resistance and voltage drop so the charger is at 14.2V or whatever but the battery is at 13.2V. You need to check all your wiring. A multimeter is very helpful for finding voltage drop.
Hi,
thanks for suggestion but the wiring looks good, moreover the 13.15 is measured both by the charger (from the APP) and at the battery terminals (measured by a multimeter).

The charge has probably failed then. Victron warranty is 5 years. Check with your dealer.
