Hi. I’m at my whitts end with the 12/12 30 charger. I live full time in a van so especially this time of year in the UK, it’s important to harvest as much energy as possible.
My charger will start charging at around 28a but, as my journey continues, it’ll drop to nothing. This is very frustrating!
I’ve tried to problem solve on other forums, but I’m coming up with nothing.
Today to drove for an hour, by the time I got to my destination there was no charge coming from the charger. I checked the temperature of the charger and it was barely warm. The wiring appears to be fine. The app is showing a input of 14.6v and output of 13.4v
Do you have anything wired into the remote enable?
What kind of batteries and what is configured in the App?
Does the App show an “off reason” at the bottom of the status page?
Screenshots could help…
Also: could it be that charging was already completed and the charger had switched into float mode?

I’m not sure what the remote enable is. The only wiring is in, out, grnd.

LifePo4, standard LifePo4 settings.

No, the App shows Input 14.5v output 13.3v. I check the Amperage and battery status in the batteries app.

What would you like screenshots of?

No, the battery only had 105ah out of 460ah left.
In case your device does not have this: please give the exact model.
App main page of the device (while it is in the state you describe in the first post), where it shows charger state and voltages (like in this picture) and of the expert battery settings:
Do you offer the DC-DC the minimum input voltage, as listed on the case / in the specification ?
Also, what is configured for Input voltage lock-out
Shut down if the input voltage drops below the lock-out value and restart when the input voltage increases above the restart value. Configurable with VictronConnect.
That information is from the batteries BMS?
If you could provide a schematic of the system and the exact devices (and their settings, like the charging specification of the battery) … giving more specific help would be easier.
Check the setting for the bulk time limit (sorry don’t recall exactly what it is called in the app). you may be reaching this limit and the charger is going back to float regardless of the state of battery charge
