HELP! IP 22 12/30 not performing

Hi all … I inherited my setup from previous RV owner … the Victron IP 22 12/30 charger doesn’t seem to do anything …. New 2 x 100Ah batteries installed in attempt to fix issue … batteries aren’t the issue … 2 x 300w solar panels … they work thank god … charging from diesel motor works well … but as soon as we are plugged into 240v the charger does nothing even though the app and Bluetooth says it is … replaced fuse …. Does not charge and in power supply mode does not work. Where do I start to try and fix this?

What does this mean exactly.

The app says it is charging? So by the app i guess you mean VictronConnect? Does it show an output voltage and current, or only an output voltage and current stays at zero?

Do you have a multimeter? Check the voltage from the charger, start from there. Let us know what the output voltage is….

No I don’t have one with me but I will get one soon ….

Power supply mode …. Our fridge is a 12/24v only so I need batteries when parked for fridge to run … I would have thought in the power supply mode the batteries would not be required

The charger is therefore outputting 13.2V but no current flows. At some point theres no connection between the charger and the battery. Check all connections and fuses inbetween, for both positive and negative. Theres also a fuse in the charger, hidden under the small removable piece around the output clamp

Thank you Chrigu… crazy … the fuse you mentioned I found blown so I replaced it like for like … checked it today and it’s blown again … I ask … why would you put a 15amp fuse in a 30amp charger? Duh! I replaced the blown 15amp with a 30amp fuse and abracadabra … it is now working! Thanks so much for pointing out the fuse which may be obvious to most but I’m a newbie … a happy newbie!

Original fuse sizes are mentioned in the technical specs, for a 12/30 charger it would be 40A
