Multi 2 supplying loads on the ac input (ESS system)

Is there a way to have loads that are grid connected only but still monitored through the VRM, I tried putting the loads after the external energy meter on the grid side but the multi is still feeding them from the battery.

Yes. You can use AC-OUT2 output for those loads.

markus, i want some of the loads to be fed from the grid directly due to high start up currents outside of the multiplus limits, i would also like to limit any unnecessary drain on the batteries, my understanding is as normally there would be grid available all the time on the AC-IN1 any loads on AC-OUT2 would still be fed from the batteries until the total load is outside the battery discharge limits or if the grid fails.

Ok, then take a look at the programmable relay assistant.

You will have to set up a separate assistant for "on" and another one for "off"
