150/60 SmartSolar MPPT connectability with another Victron charger to parallel charge lead carbon battery bank

Hi,

I am looking to add more solar to my boat and my current controller is not large enough. I want to add a second (smaller) controller to manage the additional panels, but the electrical guy and the chandlery said that this was not possible. Is it possible and beyond the additional controller, is there additional equipment needed?

You can use solar chargers in parallel to charge the same battery.

While not needed, if you have the money, you could add a Cerbo GX and a SmartShunt or a BMV to that setup, for additional functionality.
