Super pack battery (with BMS) falls below battery cut off voltage

Hi all,

This is the situation:

Battery: 24V Super pack

Battery was stuck in low voltage cut off mode. The voltage to its terminals was close to 0V.

I wake it up by applying nominal voltage 24V to the battery.

Once awake, I perform a low voltage cut off test to see if it actually cuts at 20V (without external charging)

Initial voltage is around 22V

I start applying a load and I see the voltage dropping fairly quickly but do not see any amperage.

The battery than drops under 20V, the inverter cuts off but voltage continue drooping until 16.4V and maintains it.

My question:

I was wondering if it was a normal thing to see? I was expecting to see a sudden cut off at 20V, but it wasn't the case.

I worry that the battery might be damaged.

Thank you for your inputs,

Nico

suggest that first of all you fully charge it, then do a test after its been fully charged and balanced
