Smart MPPT Temperature Compensation On/Off for LiFePO4?

When I setup my Smart BMV-712 I entered a 0.5% Temperature coefficient for my LiFePO4 batteries as indicated in the user manual for lithium batteries. Now I have a Smart MPPT 100/20 solar charge controller that is getting battery data from the BMV-712 via VE.Smart Network. I'm wondering if I should turn Temperature Compensation On or leave it Off on the MPPT settings? A video from a large solar supply/installation company said to leave it Off for Victron Smart MPPT controllers, for LiFePO4 batteries.

Hi @pstover, welcome to the Community!

You definitely want to leave temperature compensation Off when charging LFP batteries, as you neither need nor want the charger to increase charge voltage when the batteries are cold.
