Declaration FNN for Quattros

Dear Forum,

for a single phase ESS with 6 kVA in (nearly) Hub-3 mode, I would like to use the good old Quattro 8k. The battery shall be charged from mains when solar AC is available, never discharge to the grid.
Why not the Multiplus-II? Cost, proven robustness of the Quattro, the possibility to use the 2nd AC_IN for generator charging.

For my grid provider, I need something like the "Herstellererklärung ESS" that Victron made for the Multis. Is this or will this be available for the Quattros? Or is there a technical problem?

Ich glaube für die "alten" Multis/Quattros gibt es das so nicht, da diese keinen integrierten NA-Schutz haben.

Da muss man extern einen NA-Schutz installieren, damit und mit einem GX Gerät wird der Speicher erst Norm-Konform.

Die entsprechenden Unterlagen und Konformitätserklärungen muss dann der Errichter des Speichers zusammenstellen und bei der Anmeldung einreichen.

Am besten setzen sie sich mit einem Victron Distributor in Verbindung, der schon entsprechende Erfahrung mit dem errichten/anmelden von Speichern mit Victron Technik hat.

Thank you both.
"NA-Schutz" aka anti-islanding aka VDE-AR-N 4105 has nothing to to with the requirement that a battery may only charge from the grid OR feed-in.

The "Herstellererklärung ESS" states that the combination of GX/Multi/EM24 is able to guarantee this. In my opinion, there is no problem to to this with the Quattro, but my povider needs a document (or extensive measurement) to prove this.

My distributor can not provide a Manufacturer's Declaration and he also thinks that this is possible.

Therefore, my two questions:
- is there any technical problem to ensure zero feed-in when using the Quattro instead of the Multi?
- does Victron provide such a "Herstellererklärung ESS" for the Quattros?

Das Dokument von Victron bestätigt ja, das die Kombination aus MultiGrid/MultiPlus-II + ET112/ET340/EM24 + ein GX Gerät den Anforderungen entsprechen.

Da ein Quattro nur ein Transfer-Relais hat, entspricht alleine das schon mal nicht den Anforderungen.
Daher braucht man da zwingend ein NA-Schutz mit redundanten Kuppelschalter.
Victron will hier wahrscheinlich dem Kunden nicht vorschreiben, welcher NA-Schutz genommen werden soll, obliegt es dem Errichter der Anlage die entsprechenden Komponenten zu wählen um die Konformität sicherzustellen und er muss dies dann auch bestätigen.
- So zumindest mein aktueller Kenntnisstand/Interpretation in dieser Situation -

Leider ist mein Chef nächste Woche im Urlaub, sonst hätte ich ihn am Montag mal fragen können. Wir haben schon etliche Anlagen angemeldet und installiert.
Da hat er sicher irgendwo entsprechende Vordrucke.

Stimmt, der Quattro braucht einen getrennten NA-Schutz, klar.

Der Netzbetreiber (bzw. die Richtlinie FNN) will aber außerdem sicherstellen, dass niemand den Speicher aus dem Netz lädt und später wieder ins Netz entlädt. Verrechnungsgeschichten.

Das hat mit Netzausfallschutz meiner Meinung nach nichts zu tun, dafür benötigt man einen Regelkreis über das GX und einen Zähler. Nur dabei sollte es egal sein, welcher Wechselrichter genau verbaut ist. Im ESS manual wird ja immer wieder geschrieben "Multi or Quattro".

Genial wäre es eben, wenn es von Victron ein Dokument gäbe, in dem das bestätigt wird.
