Display without WiFi or Bluetooth

Friend has a small system with an older BMV 700 display and shunt , the shunt has an RJ45 connector which connects to the BMV 700 , he cant get on with the display unit . Is there any other option to visualise the display on a screen . I notice there's also a VE Direct port on the back of the monitor , can that be used and if so what else would be needed .

As the BMV700 has a VE Direct port you need a VE Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle to read the BMV from a phone using the Victron Connect app.
