ESS limit charging

Hello ..

I have an ESS (Multiplus II), with both grid tied PV in parallel (ie connected to AC IN), and DC coupled PV (solar charge controller , victron mppt)

I know that the ESS will use surplus from grid tied PV to charge the battery. The mppt will obviously also charge the battery

How to interpret the ESS parameter "limit charge power". Is this the sum of mppt and grid tied PV, or just one of those ?

I need to make sure maximum charge power will not exceed my battery fuse.

Thanks ESS afficionados ..

@pabou38

That is what DVCC is for?

How it works depends on your battery and if you also have feedback on.

Thanks you Alexandra. Indeed. I also just noticed that when dvcc is enabled, the ESS parameter: 'limit charge power' is no longer available.

I'll try that.
