Victron Phoenix 12-1200 operating through an isolating transformer?

One of the posts on here refers to a 300w heating load tripping out a 1200w inverter. The accepted answer refers to the load seeming to be originally much greater (1500w) but being reduced with triacs. I am using a washing machine (without the use of it's heater element) and it cycles normally for most of the time well below the max output current of the inverter of 5A, but occasionally it will trip a couple of times before stabilising.

Would employing an isolating transformer between the inverter and the load improve this by largely absorbing the electronic speed controller spikes generated by the washing machine or other similar controllers that may be required to be powered?
