Hi!
I am using a MP2 48/5000 and Venus OS to store excess PV power.
It came to my attention that despite there is significant power excess (and therefore grid feed in happening) MP discharges my battery.
Can someone explain why that happens? It constantly switches between charging and discharging while the power excess is far above 2000W.
Is there a shunt on the battery?
Or does the battery a compatible one and reports to the GX directly?
If no that amount may be an assumed amount.
There is no shunt but the BMS and the Multiplus both see and report the power going in and out of the battery.
I can see at the BMS that charging and discharging happen during power excess at grid point.
Here is a graph which shows the power in/out of my BMS. During all times there was a power excess at the grid point.
Noone has a clue why MP consumes power from my battery even if there is power excess on the AC side?
I had it happen in the middle of other bigger problems (that may or may not be related, I'm still investigating those), after setting SOC above current battery level (then later on back my normal value) everything went back to normal
