Our sysem will go into sustain mode(batteries are at 40%) and charge form the grid as well as PV in the morning.
How do we prevent if from going charging from the grid at all ?

Preventing Grid charging
When using Ess assistant set the Grid setpoint to say 50w
I also Open and close the AC1-in when I dont need the grid so that Freq shift will work on my Grid tie inverter, so it turns OFF when the batteries are full
plus I also do the Below in conjunction with a ccgx and generator Autostart, the Autostart makes AUX1 Hi or Low using the relay on the CCGX triggered by the Generator Autostart parameters
I am using a grid Tie inverter connected to the AC1 out of my Multiplus 48/5000 unit.
Your batteries are below the sustain voltage, so you have to lower the sustain voltage to prevent charging.
I assume you have lithium batteries?
