i have a sefan relay , the heat probe i have tape to the multi, what temp should i set it to t activate the fan thanks in advance billlybperate temp
You can use the programmable relay assistant to switch on the fan if the internal fan of the MultiPlus is running.

That’s a great suggestion from @M_Lange - the Multiplus usually does a pretty good job of keeping cool by measuring its internal temperature and activating its internal fan. You could use the MP relay to turn on the Stefan relay that controls your extra fan.
The Multiplus is happy around 25C / 77F, and will produce less power as it gets hotter than that. So if you want to use an external sensor setup, use that as a starting temperature.
The fan runs based on load and temp so it does spin up/down a lot.
I would rather use a smart switch, like a Shelly, that has built-in temp sensors and can activate/deactivate an attached device based on ambient temps.
You always want to make sure, ideally, that the inlet is getting air below 25C.
The multi chassis will always be warm, you might consider placing your tape above or below the outlet/inlet to get a better idea of actual temps, else you will end up running fans more often.
hi that would be good but i forgot to mention that my multi is installed on the horizontal so i taped my probe on the top side of the case , with the fan blowing in from the bottom where the on/off/charger switch is ,an is set to 49 Celsius 120* an it’s in the open , under my bed, garage so to say.
