Warnings, Alarms, and Automatic Restart - 4k5 GX

I am trying to find more information on the 4k5 GX unit response to warnings and alarms, but this generally applies to any version of the Multi-Plus. My understanding is that the system will only shutdown if an alarm exceeds a certain threshold. A few questions using an example from the Multi-Plus GX manual:

  1. Is ‘High DC Ripple’ a ‘Warning’ and ‘DC Ripple Shutdown’ an ‘Alarm’, as described in the Modbus map registers for alarms (0=ok, 1=warning, 2=alarm)
  2. Where can I find warning/alarm thresholds and are they configurable? (i.e. temperature alarm)
  3. Upon system shutdown from an alarm, will the unit restart automatically when the condition clears or will it require manual restart for any alarm like the dc ripple?

If you have issues that are or may cause system to shut down, i would endevour to rectify those issues before considering altering thresholds for said shutdowns.

Not having issues with unexpected shutdowns, I’m just curious about how the system operates. I should’ve clarified that.
