When trying to update Pylontec battery (update files supplied by pylontec support) I encounter the warning about not having the access to proceed. I’m logged in with full admin privileges (only profile on system)
Also receive Error pytlon:9 but believe this may be as a result of the first error.
Did you tried to send the firmware zip file like at cable connected updates with the pylon update program? This didn’t work.
As I know you have to unzip the pylon firmware file and send them after via vrm.
The pylon documenton seems not to be so clear
I have a uc3000, from the serial number it has the new chip (firmware 2.5) , in really it has the old chip (Firmware 3.1). Final update works only with the console cable because it was a mixed environment of firmware 2.5 and 3.1.
Pylontec sent the .bin file for updating via Cerbo/victron, unsure if i can update via Battery view with that or if I’d need to get the zip file sent. Hope to avoid having to do that and get it sorted via VRM.
Thanks, that is helpful, I may use/look at the update tool in the Efekta zip file. Looking at the update version files included, they differ from the file supplied by pylontec, I have been given us2000_v3.4 which match the batteries I have.so if I do update via cables I’ll use.
I’d still like to update via victron, or at least discover why I receive the 1512 error.
The PDF in the ZIP file explains which firmware version is compatible with which battery. On the Effekta website, you can only download firmware for the current C version. Pylontech Support will certainly be able to help with other versions.
