Regardless of whether one is using the VRM App or via a web interface, I have recently noticed that the following message occurs when selecting the advanced tab: “Select the widgets visible for this installation above, in the widgets overview. Move and resize the widgets by dragging.”
The message remains for a few seconds and then the widgets appear and work as normal.
Has anyone else experienced this phenomena.
Yes, I am also seeing it now I have checked. It may be a speed of response issue if there is a delay in retrieving your widgets then it initially responds as though you have none set.

I only see this flashing by on my new iPad, but on an older generation iPad it stays visible for a slightly longer period.
See it too, only briefly. Might have to do with a recent fix for the advanced tab staying ‘greyed out’, see here:
@pwfarnell, @ChiefSolar, @Jan, yes, there appears to be a slight delay while the message is being displayed then the message disappears and is replaced by the widgets selected in the widgets selection pane.
This issue occurs persistently. If it were traffic related then I would expect the problem to be present intermittently.
Here is a screen recording on a laptop.
This recording provides one with the events as they unfold when switching from advanced to the dashboard and back again. One will notice the warning appearing for an instant and then the widgets start appearing. One will also notice that the widgets are not populated with the respective graphs and that there is a considerable delay.
This phenomena is persistent.
I’d bet you a beer the delay is intentionally introduced to prevent the above linked grey-out condition. At some point Victron might optimize (reduce) the delay but it’s certainly preferable over that other problem.
