The GX in an “EasySolar-II 48/500/70-50 MPPT 250/100 GX” was replaced under warranty and returned with a new sticker with a new WiFi Network name, key BT PIN, WiFi & Eth MACs, VRM ID.
The serial number has changed from HQ21XXXXXXX to HQ25XXXXXXX but the VRM Firmware Update page does not show any serial number.
The VRM Device List page shows the new serial number for the Gateway:
and the old serial number for the VE.Bus System:
Why is this?
I saw and answered a question like that on Facebook this week.
An EasySolar is a combination of multiple devices (GX, MultiPlus and MPPT) and each has it’s own SN.
You only replaced the GX module (the gateway) so all other SN are still the same.
That it shows “unkonwn” while checking for updates is a known issue.

The new GX serial number is displayed alongside “EasySolar-II”, so the “MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50” should surely still display the original/old serial number.
Is this the GX not detecting the serial number, or is it VRM not displaying it?
If I remember correctly it is the way how the FW update check is performed, that way the SN isn’t transmited.
