VRM App on IOS not allowing toggling of push notifications

So I’m hoping someone can help here. I am trying to enable push notifications on my IOS app and it simply will not let me toggle the slider. Every time I hit the slider it takes me to the app notification settings which are allowed. Im not sure what to do here I have tried it on 3 different IOS devices and none of them will allow me to enable it although I have given the app allow permissions for notifications.

I have tried reinstalling the app several times as well as reboot the phone etc. Im at a loss…

I’m having the same issue, if you solve it please let me know

I have the same problem. On iPad and iPhone.

Thanks for reporting, I’ll pass it on to the VRM team.

There might be some delay in response given the time of year.

Can you tell me when the Push notification error at IOS is solved? On my previous IOS system it worked. With an upgrade of my IOS system I was forced to do the newest version of the VRW app… Unfortunately now I have the same issues as above…

Hi Guy, same here as Timmy. I’m using an iphone 14 Pro using ios 18.1.1 and VRM app version 2.10.0

I created my VRM account on Dec 28 2024 to readout a Globallink520 (also installed on Dec28 2024), that has connection to a BMV702.

Whatever I do I can’t get the mobile push notification toggle to ON status even though I have enabled everything on enable notifications from VRM on the iphone app settings.

Appreciate to learn what may solve this bug :-).

Same problem with my customer yesterday on iPhone 14 with newest iOS (18.1.1.) after first instal of VRM app - we were not able to enabled push notifications.
I have iPhone 13 mini with the latest iOS also without problem with push notifications, but I have installed VRM app for almost 3 years, so upgrading to newest iOS (with enabled push notifications from previous version) seems to be not problem for me, same on wife’s iPhone SE 2020 with the latest iOS.
Please @guystewart fix it quickly, it is very important!

(just FYI 18.2 is the current version)

Actually 18.2.1 :–) But I guess that the problem will be the same…

Strange priorities

To your notification, I’ve updated my iPhone to 18.2.1 but the problem remains.

If you don’t try set it via the app, and go to settings->Notifications->app->VRM->notifications can you enable it like so, and does it work?

No, even if VRM notifications is enabled in iOS settings, in VRM app is still push notifications disabled.

Meaning of your totally irrelevant comment is…?

Does seem to be a VRM issue. Mine is enabled, historically, but I am using the 6.11 beta.
If I try disable it, I can’t. It just opens the IOS app notification settings which I can change.
@guystewart

It “could” be very important if your life depends on it. But i doubt it.

Relax

I have popped a message to the app/VRM team.
They will hopefully post an update here later on. It is being worked.

It is very important, because if my customer has no possibility to enabling notifications, this is not “comfort” situation for controlling/monitoring actions and could possibly lead into dangerous situations, when system is in non-standard or error state, if customer has no information about it…
If you don’t have any relevant comments on this topic, please go have fun somewhere else…

Gents let’s play nice and leave the handbags to the ladies. Thank you.

Same with me, in iPhone i have enabled all notifications but VRM won’t let me slide the notifications bar to green/enable.
