Email notifications toggle doesn't stay on if using VRM in web browser

As 63 people noticed at VRM email notifications toggle keeps turning off - VictronEnergy, the E-mail toggle in VRM > Preferences > Notifications sometimes reverts back to Off, and I think I’ve narrowed down the problem. Using the latest Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, on the latest macOS, toggling from Off to On only works until you refresh the page, at which point the toggle jumps quickly to On then back Off. Interestingly, this problem does not present in the following scenarios:

  1. Toggling On to Off (it stays Off)
  2. Toggling Off to On in one browser and then refreshing the Notifications page in another browser
  3. Toggling Off to On in the VRM app for macOS or iOS, quitting the VRM app, and reopening it

I wouldn’t have noticed this bug, except I’m forced to use VRM in a browser because the app doesn’t allow me to resize widgets (for example, from 1/3 width to 2/3 width or full width). Now it seems I need to switch between the app and a browser depending on what I’m trying to do.

If only VRM alarms could make a loud sound on the Cerbo GX (ideally without using a relay port) and the VRM iOS app allowed you to choose the notification sound (the default iOS sound is easy to ignore, especially while sleeping). My alarm is temperature based, and if my Sprinter’s plumbing is below 32ºF (because my hot water recirculation setup has failed), I need to know ASAP before pipes burst.

Instead I’m fielding the email in the iOS Shortcuts app, as part of an Automation that turns off Silent Mode, Sleep Focus, and Do Not Disturb, then triggers a Shortcut that turns the volume up to 100% and plays a 20-second buzzer sound before Siri calmly recites what is happening. This in itself is exceedingly frustrating because the Automation isn’t getting triggered for some unknown reason, and now my notifications are suspended for 24 hours because my installation has generated a high volume of alarms. Another day wasted on technical difficulties.
