VRM App on IOS not allowing toggling of push notifications

Another update. So the cauae is fully understood, it has just proven challenging to resolve quickly, and interim fixes haven’t helped. Sorry this is dragging on, it isn’t due to lack of attention. It should be resolved early next week.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks to the Victron team to address is issue on the iPhone (I have the same). FWIW, I also tried to add push notification in my Firefox Browser (newest Version 134, Notifications for the victron site allowed, WIN10, fully updated), and it also doesn’t let me do this. When I try to activate the slider by clicking on it, it shows the red encircled dash dot. Maybe the error is related…

Adding a few more observations - may help with resolving the issue. I now used the Edge Browser, allowed notifications and there I could enable notifications for the browser…
Interestingly, however, sending a test notification message from within the Edge browser also led to a Push notification on the iPhone! When checking on the VRM app, it still shows mobile push notifications as disabled (but in the app notification settings they are allowed for the VRM app). Maybe that is a work around for others until the problem has been fixed.

They really do know what the issue is. The challenge is fixing it.

Hi all, this should be resolved for mobile notifications. You may experience issues on web notifications; we’re resolving those ASAP.

Sorry for the trouble, thanks for the many reports!

Works for me, thanks for the fix!

@guystewart - hi bro, the “Web push notifications” slider is still disabled (grayed out) in browsers Chrome/FireFox/Edge (latest version) on both of my Windows 10 (fully updated) laptops despite enabling full notification access for the VRM site. This slider works fine on my Android v15 VRM App and notifications arrive fine there. Also, the E-mail slider works fine on both Windows and Android, and notification emails arrive fine.

Hi @JohanvanR

Yes the team is aware, unfortunately the fix is not so easy and tied to another update. I’ll remind them that this is still outstanding but I think we just have to be patient.

no worries, just giving you guys another “data point”.
