Not sure if i’m the first to raise this, or if i’m just being dumb, but I can’t seem to find a way to create alerts through the vrm portal for the IO extender. It shows up as a device, but the options are limited to only 2 outputs, 3 inputs and the relay states are not there. With the cerbo itself, you can create alarms based on the relay state but with the io extender these do not seem to appear in the list.
further update - for the options that ARE available to create alarms in vrm, the device shows up as “No value available, product not connected?”
but the device is otherwise functioning properly.
Is this a bug with the VRM and the IO extender?
Following this thread, as yes, I would like the ability to trigger alarms from the extended digital I/O, for door/locker switches on a yacht.
My current useful world is also being able to see switch status and report in advanced /VRM, so I know when the switch changed state.
I run node red to trigger pumps based on the Cerbo device inputs, and have that reporting.
FYI I have had zero acknowledgement from Victron on this issue despite multiple forum posts and also raising a support case.
Currently great for providing a switch panel from the Cerbo display, can readily be automated using NodeRed (devices are available on I/O) -seems to work, but yes, access from standard tools that work on the GX would be a nice enhancement
