VictronConnect via Bluetooth

Hi everyone,

I have the Bluetooth dongle from Victron and wanted to use it to set up 3 multis as a 3 phase system. All 3 have the latest firmware and can be accessed individually via GX as well as via the dongle.
VictronConnect sees that there are several multis, and want to configurate them, and starts looking for them. But he can’t find any devices. I waited 6 minutes. All 3 are connected to each other via the bushbar and on top of that the batteries. And also the ethernet cabels.
What to do next?
Reset everything, all the multi’s, the dongle and the Cerbo as Well.
Who knows the golden tip?

Thank you for thinking along.

Martin

Setting up a 3-phase system isn’t possible via Bluetooth, you need a MK3 interface for that.
Are all MultiPlus connected together via VE.Bus? Are all MultiPlus switched on?

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for your quick response.

According to the latest software

Good day!

Today we are releasing a new version of VictronConnect. It has quite a list of improvements as well as updated product firmware versions.

The most significant change is that you can now set-up and configure parallel, three and split-phase systems, up to three units. Which makes it a lot simpler to set-up such a system; no longer requiring the -Windows only- VE Configuration tools.

This sounds like it is possible with the new software?
I’m living in a Apple world :grimacing:, that’s why a bougth an dongle.

I didn’t write that it’s not possible with VictronConnect, I wrote that it’s not possible via Bluetooth.

Matthias,

So the only way to make this setup work is an additional Mk3 - usb interface?
And of course install VictronConnect on a MacBook…

Please read the manual.
You need the MK3 interface.

I’ve red the manuals many times, but saw a escape for not using the MK3.

But I was wrong I supose :man_shrugging:t2:.
Just orded the interface.
Thanks for pointing me on on my wrong -interpretation.

Have a Nice weekend :+1:
