Victron Charging Station NS stopped connecting to the car

Hi,

I’ve been using Victron Charging Station NS since December 2025, 3phase with my brand new BYD Dolphin Surf (11kW max power drain). Was working OK. No other Victron devices in the household, only PV with SolarEdge inverter.

Today I plugged the car in, same way as always, and it started charging. After taking in 4.5kWh it just stopped (71% SOC), which I noticed some time later. Since then I can’t get it to charge, the setup only shows that the car is trying to connect to the charger indefinitely. There is a relay click and the charger endpoint locks in in the car inlet.

Things tried:

  1. I tried a different 3phase cable - same issue.
  2. I updated Victron from 2.05 version to 2.08 (latest) - same issue.
  3. I lowered amperage from 16A to 7A - same issue.
  4. I tried charging with the 1-phase “brick” charger that came with the car - charges fine, works.
  5. I tried to wiggle the cable a bit at the charging point and car inlet - same issue.
  6. I reset Victron remotely - same issue.
  7. I reset Victron by turning the safety switch off for up to 30minutes - same issue.

I’ve seen some posts (and Victron instruction) saying that I could perform “CP calibration” but there’s no such option either in the smartphone app or the web admin account. I can only set the value by hand within the 0.6-1.4 range.

I intend to go to a public AC charger to check if it works in the evening, but I’d very much appreciate further suggestions and help troubleshooting.

I just came back from the public charger. The car charges fine, so the issue lies within Victron Wallbox or 3-phase electric supply.

Now that I think about it, the 3-phase supply should be fine. I’d expect the systems to provide some info if one phase died or there was some other fault with it. But both the car and wallbox are ready to charge, it’s just the communication that fails.

Edit - I also asked my neighbour to come and plug their car into the Victron Wallbox and it failed the same way. I’m sending Victron for RMA.
