Victron BP to JVR digital timer wiring trouble

I have the Victron BP 12/24 65 serving a LiFePO4 battery and I am linking to a JVR digital timer to allow on off function timer to a water pump. Difficulty is, I get power to the timer with the two pin connection on the Victron bridged and can manually start

and stop the voltage to the out on the Victron. But when I try to use the two pin as a relay for the timer I can’t get voltage to turn on or off with the timer. I must have the wrong wiring. I have the relay to pin 3 and 4 on the timer. Any suggestions.

The remote jumper (the two-pin connector) isn’t a relay, it’s a remote switch for the BatteryProtect itself.

I might be mis-reading your description of what you’re trying to do, but it sounds like you might be thinking of its functionality backward: You can use the timer to switch the BP on or off using the remote jumper, but you can’t use the remote jumper to switch the timer.

Please, check the wiring of the positive wires:

  • the wire from battery + must go to IN contact on Battery protect AND contact 4 on timer;
  • the + wire to pump must go from OUT contact on Battery protect.

Negative wires looks OK.
