Im new to victron, i have the quattro 48/5000/70, wonder if i can connect the victron bp 48/100 as a remote toshut the inverter down if batteries get to low.
You can not use a BP with an inverter / charger.
With the battery protect it is only permissible for the current to flow one way, from the battery terminal to the load terminal. (inverter mode)
In charge mode the current flows form the load terminal to the battery terminal.
Bad things will happen to the BP if this reverse current happens.
Why not use programming of the Quattro to set low voltage alarms / cut out?
Note, it is not advisable to use a BP with an inverter.
The capacitor charge current upon initial connection triggers the BP error, overcurrent.

The quattro i purchased is not Bluetooth, I already had the battery protection. I was hoping there was a way to connect it to the remote the inverter. I just ordered the tongle so i can set the parameters. Ill use the bp for all the dc stuff.
You don’t mention which dongle, so to be clear (and possibly early enough to cancel the order if you ordered the wrong one) it’s not possible to program a Quattro via bluetooth connection in any case, so make sure you’re ordering the MK3-USB Interface and not the VE.Bus Bluetooth Dongle.
