Venus 3.70 released

Victron GX device firmware has been updated to v3.70. This release brings a greatly expanded switch pane with Node-RED virtual switches, improvements to GX Boat Page and E-drive integrations, cell level monitoring for Lynx Smart BMS NG, Garmin EmpirBus digital switching, Shelly smart device integration, and much more.

Just installed 3.70, all my shelly devices are detected (Shelly Plus Uni, Shelly 1 Gen 4), except my 2 units of Shelly Pro 3EM.

Adding by IP is not changing anything. Why these devices are not recognized?

It would be great if you could select the Shelly as the source for the heat pump/electricity meter.

Currently, only Victron meters are compatible.

Wow Victron have out done themselves with Shelly :+1:t5: but just a few issues one with Shelly it doesn’t carry the Shelly device name that is assigned to the Shelly device in the Shelly app I’ve got about 20 or more Shelly devices so other than device names that I’ve assigned in Shelly I have no idea what they are :joy:

Other issue is with the Victron VM-3P75CT which seems to have duplicated itself so now displays additional watts drawn can this be sent to the powers that be please @nickdb other than that an scaring me with a pylontech firmware part great to see an even better integration with them

Do you have a third party mod loaded to make the Shelly visible (prior to official support)?
If so, might be worth removing anything not part of the base OS.
If you can clarify that, I am sure the team will look into it. But I would split this into a topic of its own, once confirmed.

Hi Nick I did back in the day but removed it possibly a year or more ago as it wasn’t that reliable, so went stock. This update is the only thing that reintegrated Shelly everything else went a good few firmwares ago. Thanks in advance PS anyway they could give use something to get rid of the old devices in the VRM panel all you can do is disable them I want to delete some of them lol

Thanks, I will pass it along. If you can share the site ID from the VRM url in case someone needs to check.

Great thanks I’ve managed to delete it from the list so just displaying one instance of the EV charger VRM Portal - Victron Energy

I do hope that at @guystewart or someone can enable the other CT’s of the VM-3P75CT to read other tech independently of each other as that CT is getting lonely :joy:

A post was split to a new topic: Venus v3.70 MFD integration app with Mixed(Ac in Watts, DC in amps)

@nickdb Any idea why only Shelly Pro 3EM are not recognized?

3 posts were split to a new topic: Venus 3.70 cerbo with extension cords (possible issue?)

Running 3.66

3.70 gives Low battery warning (which does not go away). It’s a Can connection by a Victron cable (JK PB BMS)

Have reverted to 3.66 which again works fine

This was reported during the beta’s

You will need to be clear if any third party mods are in use. Serialbattery etc.

2 posts were split to a new topic: Missing sliders on Energy solutions DC4 switches after updating to Venus v3.70

No mods at all

Waiting for that myself, I use my old Carlo energy meter to monitor grid and some AC PV in the other channel, I’d love to replace it with the faster Victron meter, but there isn’t enough space in the meter box unless I can use all channels for different things on my single phase house.

We’ll get it eventually (I hope).

Some questions I have about this nice release is: can I use a Shelly pro EM as counter?
Also is this possible to make some Shelly to be switched off automatically uppon even:

  • Grid lost
  • Overload
Without using node red (that I don’t trust) ?

Hello,

I also have a problem with the update 3.67→3.70 .

Hello,

Solar is missing in Slip display:

Another relatively minor issue. While the solar yield on overview and brief page on the previous version listed watts or amps based on the setting, it’s now stuck on watts regardless of the setting.
