VE.Direct or VE.Can MPPTs

Hi All,

I am about to expand my solar and add an east/west array which will require another MPPT or even two. My current one is an RS type connected via VE.Can but the smaller MPPT controllers (what I will need) tend to be VE.Direct and I would like to know if I connect both types how will it all work together. Will the VRM see them separately and equally ? Will the VE.Direct version have any benefits or drawbacks compared to the VE.Can model ?

Functionality should be the same - VE.can however allows you to daisy-chain many MPPTs and not need individual wires run to the cerbo. Depending on the count of devices required, that may become an advantage.
