Hi everybody
I got what looks like a bug with 3.50, VRM show a “Grid lost alarm” while on the GX menu, the selected ac-in is “shore power”.
And even when selecting “grid” , with the option to monitor grid failure desactivated, VRM still display the error.
Only VRM shows this error, nothing in the cerbo’s notifications.
The system use a multi RS, on a RV
VRM page is : VRM Portal - Victron Energy
Updated to 3.51, no change, error still displayed on vrm.
i also noticed in the vrm dashboard is displaying ok the shore connexion, but on the gui it displays “generator” (while selected source is shore power)
Hey @yann this could very well be a bug - we’ll look into this
I have the same issue too. I use the multi RS in an off-grid setting with no grid connection. I didnt have issues until I upgraded to v3.50 and still persists on 3.51
Hello , i am off grid with of course grid monitoring deactivated in the cerbo, but since update 3.51 (i move from 3.42 to 3.51 directly) i have grid lost alarm active on the cerbo (no alarm on the multi RS). It seems that deactivation of grid monitoring is not functionning (same behaviour with or without grid monitoring) .

Same issue pending using the new release 3.52
Have the same issue after changing 3.42 to 3.52. I also use Multi RS v1.18. The disable function of grid failure monitor hasnt effect. Turned back to 3.42 everething ok.
I am also having the same issue of grid loss alarm on VRM continuously and on cerbo every time the generator is stopped. Off grid, Multi RS solar, cerbo GX and manual start generator.

There is alot of #metoo here. Please hit vote at the top if you haven’t already. It helps with getting attention on the issue here. And how many people are affected.

Many mentioned, as a rule of thumb, if it works don’t change it.
After each new release, a lot of fix, fix, fix,… in the changelog.
10 fixes in 3.52 from 3.51. And more to come, it seems…

But it is also easier to roll out smaller changes.
I think the switch from the ve bus to can is part of it. Since this feature is already interactive (you can choose to have it on or off) on the ve bus products. Useful for some.
Still getting grid loss alarms when the generator is stopped and continuously on VRM. On latest version, old and with latest beta version on cerbo GX.
I have done the reset procedure on my cerbo gx but the problem persists. A few minutes after the generator has stopped I get grid loss alarm. VRM still continues grid loss alarm in the generator is not running. Input 1 on the Multi RS Solar is set to generator on cerbo and Multi RS. Input 2 which the Multi does not have is set as not available.
The settings icon on top left of screen when selected sometimes shows 2 generator input current limits.
Hi, I am having this issue also but my generator wont charge my batteries now or do anything? it does this weird thing where it connects for 2 seconds and then disconnects to my multi RS. Is anyone else experiencing this/ have a solution?
Hi all, the wrong grid lost alarm for the Multi RS has been solved in the current beta series of Venus OS.

We’ ll have an official release that includes that fix by januari.
@brittney.woodgate : issues with actually connecting and starting to charge are not related to this issue with a false alarm. Please make sure your Multi RS is running the latest firmware version, and if that doesn’t solve your issue then I recommend to contact your dealer for support - hope its solved soon!
