V2 UI not loading

Hello,

I am having a problem where the Cerbo GX V2 GUI is not loading. The page draws but the widgets do not update with data.

I first noticed this under Firmware Version Stable 3.62. I have upgraded to Beta 3.70~5 and have the same problem.

I am seeing a large number of Javascript errors in the console:

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Have you loaded any mods? Guimod, setup helper etc?
You can check in settings → general → modifications.

If you do, please use the disable option in that mods menu, use the reapply firmware option (it preserves settings) and restart.
Almost all the issues have so far been down to incompatible mods.

No, I haven’t made installed any mods. I’d give a screenshot, but I have nothing to show. Maybe that screen doesn’t show in V1 GUI? Or since I don’t have any installed.

Here’s my config:

Cerbo GX
Multiplus2 24v 3kva
MPPT 100/50
Custom DIY Battery with JK BMS, DVCC over Ve.can
MQTT enabled to HomeAssistant.

I also see these errors:

qml: Cannot load electrical quantity, mqtt/settings/0/Settings/Gui/ElectricalPowerIndicator has unsupported value: undefined default to watts
qml: Cannot load temperature unit, mqtt/settings/0/Settings/System/Units/Temperature has unsupported value: undefined default to celsius
qml: Cannot load volume unit, mqtt/settings/0/Settings/System/VolumeUnit has unsupported value: undefined default to m3

Not sure if this is related or not.

It us a gui V2 option only.

Ah, so I can’t get there since the UI won’t load.

Anyways, I don’t have any mods.

If you click on the settings cog bottom right on the new UI, does it not work at all? It looked like the GUI was opening, just no values were showing.
incidentally, only time I saw that was when the network quality was too poor for the messaging to work, so I would also double check anything that might cause a slow connection.
v1 and new GUI have different needs.
You can connect to the built-in AP of the GX to verify if everything is ok.
Is this a wired or wireless connection?

It’s wifi, so that may be the cause because signal isn’t great. I’ll do some tests, thanks.

I’ve fixed the weak wifi by setting the Cerbo GX up on Starlink, I am still getting a very large number of errors when loading GUI V2.

Does anyone have any pointers on how better to troubleshoot this?
