Updating my MultiPlus Compact 12/1200/50-16 to the newest version bricked it

I saw that a new version was available for my MultiPlus Compact 12/1200/50-16. Updating it to v556 has it now stuck in “fault” in my app and alternating red/green lamps flash on the physical device. No other change was done other than updating it using the tool. Any way to get it operational again?

Why did you do the update?
It’s not recommended to do updates as long as you don’t have problems.

How exactly did you do the update?

Normally it should be possible to start the update again with a MK3 interface.
Easiest would be via VictronConnect, but if that doesn’t work you need to use Be flash.

I did the update because i was in the list of devices on my vrm portal said ‘new rdiver available’ while all the other had a up to date with a green checkmark besides it. Normaly in software i have been told to keep things up to date. This might not have been the correct thing to do but here we are.

I used the “remote firmware update” tool provided by victron. Pressed update. No error messages while installing and the install did not have any interuptions.

Is there any way to reupload older firmware?

It now reports up to date with a check-mark but it is still stuck in “fault” when i check the float chart in app.
