Hello,
I have to give my RV to mechanic and I would like to know how should I prepare the orions connections.
I’m pretty sure that this mechanic will disconnect the starter battery (it is standard procedure when working on a car) and I would like to know if it is safe to leave the input cables connected.
For output (auxiliary batteries) i have a fuse which have a button to connect/disconnect power and I can disconnect this auxiliary batteries easly, but for input next to the car starter battery - i have different fuses.
I would like to know if it is safe to leave the input cables connected and disconnect only the output cables?
In documentation I see that orions should be connected in this order:
1.Disconnect remote
2.Connect input starter battery
3.Connect output battery
4.Connect remote
in this order. So I believe that disconnecting should be in reverse order so I should disconnect output batteries (auxiliary batteries) first, and then input.
The question is - is it safe to leave the input cables connected? Im sure that mechanic will start the engine one or two times before he disconnect the starter battery (input) - will it burn the orions or not? later then he will disconnect the starter battery and then all orions will have no power from input and output - and it will be great, but there is a chance thet mechanic will start the engine with input connected.
Thanks in advance for help.
Regards,
Matt
