Would somebody know if the remote control in OFF position disconnects :
1/ the Input line (+24v) and (- its Ground) AND the Output Line (+12v) and (- its Ground)
2/ the Input line (+24v) and (- its Ground) (only)
3/ the Input line (+24v) (only)
5/ the Input line (+24v) and the Output Line (+12v) (only)
In advance, thanks to whom knows and answer me !
Mike
Thanks Ludo. If the converter is just left “idle”, then the internal circuits are permanently exposed to +24v power and +12v power , and all potentials surge ? Are there residual off-mode currents both sides that could drain the batteries ? .. but you might be right ! To let you know my thoughts, I would expect all lines to be disconnected with a 4 independant switches micro-relay activated by the remote line .. but i could not find any info / diagram about that. It actually goes beyond the Orion converters: Have all Remote Control with Victron the same purpose to disconnect all lines of the internal device ? … or just to idle the device and leave it connected ? Maybe there is a general answer from an established device design rule / policy ?? Thnaks again ! Mike.
