Hi, is there any way to get Victron GX understand and control third party bi-directional ev charger for example via Modbus TCP?
Finnish manufacturer Inter Control rolls out ‘Latinki 11kW’ bi-directional charger with multiple connection options.
Or does Victron have any plans to develop chuch charger for home users?
Whilst the Cerbo has it’s own Modbus map, and can scan for various Modbus devices, these are normally power meters and PV inverters.
Currently if you want to control an EV charger via modbus, you will need to write this as a custom script, either running on the cerbo or an external device.
Okay,
Thank you for answer.
I assume u are referring to Cerpo Nodered integration to make custom control automation for 3rd party charger, so it can participate backing up house battery tasks in ESS mode to sell excess energy in best prices to system market.
Can I make it visible as an instance to GX monitoring screen also?
Sorry, I would not know the answer to that one. I think your best bet is to look through the Forum to see what people are doing with Node Red - I don’t use that.
